Ingredients

  • 1 rack pork ribs (about 3 pounds)
  • 2 teaspoons Spice Islands® Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoons Spice Islands® Cracked Black Pepper
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • ¾ cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • ½ to 1 teaspoon Wright’s® Hickory Liquid Smoke

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 325° F. Season ribs with garlic powder, salt and pepper. Arrange ribs on shallow baking pan and cover tightly with aluminum foil. Cook ribs 2 hours or until tender.
  2. While ribs are cooking, heat oil in medium saucepan over medium heat and cook onion 5 minutes or until tender. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds. Stir in remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes to blend flavors.
  3. Uncover ribs and cook an additional 30 minutes, brushing twice with barbecue sauce.
  4. Slice ribs and serve with additional barbecue sauce, if desired.
