  • ¼ cup vegetable broth
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoon Maple Grove Farms® 100% Pure Maple Syrup
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons Wright’s® Hickory Liquid Smoke
  • 1 teaspoon Spice Islands® Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Spice Islands® Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Spice Islands® Onion Powder
  • 1 Spice Islands® Bay Leaf
  • 6 carrots, peeled and skinny ends trimmed
  • 6 hot dog buns


  1. Combine broth, vinegar, olive oil, soy sauce, maple syrup, Wright’s® Liquid Smoke, garlic, paprika, onion powder and bay leaf in a resealable plastic bag.
  2. Add carrots and marinate 2 hours to overnight.
  3. Place carrots, marinade and ½ cup water in 10-inch skillet and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer gently 10 to 15 minutes, turning carrots occasionally, until carrots are just tender. If liquid evaporates add a little water.
  4. If desired, carrots can be finished on grill or grill pan.
  5. Serve carrots in hot dog buns and top with your favorite toppings.
